Now, a lot of people think that the Sea-Doo GTRs are just detuned with a flash from the factory, but that could not be further from the truth. The GTR is an interesting ski from Sea-Doo. It uses the entry-level GTI bottom deck paired with higher-end top deck components that give it a feel closer to an RXP-X. However, the hull itself isn't a purpose-built race platform. It's more playful and pops out of the water much faster. These characteristics make for a very fun, responsive ski, but the added drag limits its top-speed potential.
All GTR models use different parts than the flagship high-horsepower versions from the same years, including:
This means you can't simply flash one and expect to turn a 215 into a 260 or a 230 into a 300. You'll need to swap some serious parts to do so.
These kits were designed to deliver the best bang for the buck, with the focus on more fun rather than chasing outright top speed or trying to match an RXP-X. If top speed is your priority, we can put together a custom setup for you. But we believe these packages will make your ski significantly more enjoyable while outperforming the stock high-horsepower models.
