The original Rickter® XFS has gone through evolution since its inception and has proven to be a go-to option for a flatwater hull on the market.

Jetworks Opinion:

This hull is optimized for flat water freestyle; it's not ideal for traveling long distances or for going fast. These are for backflipping off of your own wake (typically done in lake and river settings) and are typically paired with "Big Power", typically 950cc-1200cc, and a small fuel tank, not designed for traveling much, if any, real distance.
The XFS is typically what we recommend to newer riders, and/or bigger riders (above 5' 9" tall or anything above 195 pounds); it is more stable and overall slightly bigger than the Ninja Hull, making it more forgiving and easier to master.
The Ninja Hull we only recommend for experienced and skilled riders or riders who are short and lighter than 5' 9" tall or under 195 pounds. It is more capable, but less forgiving and harder to master, especially for heavier/taller riders.
For a more all-around / surf riding oriented hull, we recommend the Rickter Edge.
If you are looking for a high-speed, buoy carving machine (perfect for all-around fun and cross-training), we recommend building a Kawasaki SX-R or Yamaha SuperJet in either the 2-Stroke or 4-Stroke configuration

This is just the bare hull with the above included parts; this is not a ready-to-ride ski.

You can transfer your existing 1990-2020 Yamaha SuperJet Drive Train into these hulls (2008-2020 require a different driveshaft)

Or have us build you one from the ground up. Pricing in 2026 is roughly $37,000 ~ $49,000 for a complete Rickter Edge ski, depending on your power demands and configuration. We dont really recommend building these with anything under a 950cc engine; yes, you can backflip with a slightly worked-over 701cc, but if you have expectations of getting the amount of air and height you see on social media, you won't be happy with a small powertrain, unless your increabibly skilled AND short, lighter than your average person.

Please plan ahead of time, as these hulls are special orders. Typically, the US Warehouse may have some stock, but if not, it can sometimes require over half a year to get your desired configuration.

As far as building one, it can take as short as 3 weeks and up to 4 months, depending on the level of the engine and parts required to be sourced.
