These are our preferred pistons for the vast majority of 550 builds!
These are originally for double-ring pistons that came on the 1991+ C1 Reed Engines, but we used them all the time on Piston Port engines as a performance & reliability upgrade!
The extra ring gives you better longevity and ring seal, which both help prevent blow-by, which severely affects carb tuning!
Being cast also lets us run a better, tighter piston to wall clearance when compared to running a forged piston in the cast iron piston port 550 cylinders!
Works on all years and models of Kawasaki 550!
